Research is “inventive and systematic work undertaken to increase the reservoir of knowledge”. It involves the collection, organization and analysis of information to increase understanding of a topic or issue.
The goal of academic research is to discover the truth and gain new knowledge that will benefit social development. Such research is one of the essential roles of a faculty member in an academic institution. It is one of the most important aspects of their job performance.
Studies reveal that, research helps to restore and protect memory while also improving computational thinking and problem-solving skills. As a result, it prepares the mind for a more thorough understanding of concepts and theories. A person’s learning capacity improves, and they can perform better than those who are hesitant to conduct research.
